Michael Harwood was born and raised in Albemarle and is a graduate of Albemarle High School and UNC Charlotte with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. Michael has been employed with Uwharrie Bank (formerly Bank of Stanly) since 1994 and is currently located in the West Stanly office in Locust.

Michael holds FINRA Securities Registrations Series 7 and 66 and is also licensed to sell life, health and long-term care insurance. He is a registered representative of Private Client Services, LLC.

Michael is currently the Vice-Chairman of Carolinas Healthcare System – Stanly Community Advisory Board, member of Stanly County Airport Authority and Official Scorer for the Charlotte Hornets NBA Franchise.
